3D Co-Pilot: Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through the basics of using the Co-Pilot tool, from creating an image gallery to generating your first 3D model.

What is the 3D Co-Pilot?

Co-Pilot is a node-based tool that helps you quickly turn reference images into production-ready 3D models. By automatically removing backgrounds, streamlining image-to-model workflows, and giving you a clear visual pipeline, it makes 3D asset creation faster and easier.

1. Upload your image

  • Start by creating an Image Gallery node.

  • Upload between 1–9 images at a time.

  • When uploaded, Co-Pilot will automatically remove the background, replacing it with white.

2. Connect to an output node

  • After creating your gallery, choose where to send it:

    • 3D Model Node → generates a 3D model from your images.

    • Ortho Node → creates another image gallery.

  • Connect the nodes by dragging from the gallery to your chosen output.

You can connect up to two output nodes to a single Image Gallery node:

  • One Ortho Gallery node

  • One 3D Model node

Only one of each type is allowed. Once connected, outputs cannot be disconnected or changed.

3. Generate a 3D model

  • Once connected to a 3D Model Node, Co-Pilot will:

    1. Begin the generation process.

      1. You can select between High Poly or Low Poly. Make sure this is selected before you connect to an Image Node.

    2. Provide a preview of the finished model.

    3. Allow you to download your 3D model directly.

4. Add more images

  • To experiment with new inputs, create another Image Gallery node.

  • Upload a fresh set of images and connect them to a new 3D Model node.

  • Each image set produces its own unique model.

You’re ready to go! With Co-Pilot you can:

  1. Upload concept art/images.

  2. Auto-remove backgrounds.

  3. Generate 3D base models.

  4. Explore variations with new inputs.

🌟 Best Practices

To get the most out of Co-Pilot, keep these tips in mind:

  • Use clean reference images → clearer inputs mean cleaner outputs.

  • Organize your nodes → keep your gallery and model nodes visually separated for easier navigation.

  • Experiment often → try different image sets to explore variations and improve results.
