Auto-generated orthographic views

With Auto-Generated Orthographic Views, you can eliminate guesswork and build models faster, with better proportion accuracy right from the start.

This feature takes a single reference image and generates additional orthographic views (front, side, back, top) to help you build more accurate 3D models. Instead of manually sketching or sourcing extra references, Co-pilot creates consistent views for you automatically.

Why It Matters

Working from a single image often leads to guesswork about proportions, depth, and unseen sides of an object. Auto-generated orthographic views:

  • Save time on creating missing angles by hand.

  • Provide consistent proportions across all views.

  • Give artists a clearer starting point for modeling, sculpting, or reconstruction.

This means you can spend less time setting up references and more time building the asset itself.

Best Practices

  • Use a clear, front-facing image with minimal distortion for best results.

  • Works best for props, vehicles, and simple characters where overall form and proportion matter.

  • Pair with Base Mesh from Reference to quickly go from 2D concept → 3D starting point.
