Texturing Settings & Examples

We are working on some prototypes for automatic texturing using AI. Until we have published those to production, we are offering a texturing service that is manual and helps us gather data for our AI solution.
This option is enabled for your account only if you have purchased the corresponding texture credits. If you are interested in this service, please contact support@kaedim3d.com as we don't currently offer an automated way to get them.

How to use

Start by generating your asset. Make any adjustments if needed using the iteration feature. Once you've achieved your ideal geometry open your asset of choice and click the expand option in the asset card
Then you can use the following button to request texturing and a pop up will appear for you to input the settings of your choice.
❗Please note that the asset can no longer be iterated after textures are applied.

Texture Technique

  • Stylised
This method uses the input image to texture the object by making the image a sticker on top of the 3D object.
To use this method, the input image should be facing the object in parallel. Here are some good inputs for that kind of texturing.
If you have the front and back image of the object that you want to be textured, this method is probably the right for you.
If you textured your 3D model with the Stylised setting and you need the .obj format in download, it will be accompanied by a single .png file containing the texture.

  • PBR
This method uses materials to texture your object.
This option is ideal for concept art, simple items like furniture and anything that doesn't have much fine detail.
If you textured your 3D model with the PBR setting and you need the .obj format in download, it will be accompanied by a single .mtl file and multiple .png files containing the textures.
